Awana (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, based on 2 Timothy 2:15) is all about helping kids learn to know, love and serve God. Children 2 years old through high school age grow in their relationships with God and each other in the fun, three-part program that’s built around age-based clubs. As part of their clubs, kids learn, share and play together in group time, book time and game time, using age-appropriate materials and activities to learn about God and the Bible.

Why do kids attend Awana Clubs at Faith Community Church every week? Awana is fun, and the children know that they have a leader who cares for them! And of course, they’re learning and growing while they’re having fun.

The goal of Awana Clubs is to reach boys and girls for Christ and train them to serve Him. Churches around the world are using Awana to reach out to the youth in their communities. The Awana program is non-denominational and Bible-centered, and the club meetings are open to all. Parents are welcome to visit and observe atany time.

Ages 2-3 – These kids are discovering and exploring the great big world that exists outside their home. Puggles introduces these children to the concept of God as the creator of all things and teaches them about His love and goodness

Preschoolers (3-5 year olds) – The Cubbies program plants seeds of faith in young minds concerning God, Jesus Christ, and the Bible. Your preschoolers will come to understand God’s great love for each one of them. They’ll learn that they can talk to God through prayer and that God talks to them through the Bible.

Kindergarten – 2nd grade These kids have ventured out of the driveway and are now exploring the neighborhood. They have a lot of questions about everything: when, where, and what of events, places, and people. The Sparks program zooms in on details. Kids in Sparks are introduced to Bible characters and events, and learn why they are important. Sparks materials focus on helping children learn to know God and Jesus.

3rd – 5th grade – These kids are on the road. They ask what, why, and how. The world may tell them there are many roads and no one knows the right one. But these kids are hungry for truthful answers. The Truth & Training (T&T) program uses a question-and-answer format, with the answers backed up by Scripture. Students learn the Bible is true and that they can firmly put their trust in God’s Word

6th – 8th grade – This Fall, Awana Youth Ministries is launching a new middle school curriculum for Trek. The new Trek 1 is 32 weeks of curriculum, discussions guides, and devotionals. This new Trek Bible study helps middle school students understand God’s story and answers the question, “Who are you?” All group members work on the same curriculum, no matter what grade they are in.

Journey® establishes high school students as lifelong disciples through a deep study of God’s Word, mobilizing them to live with godly perspective and evident faith.Journey is based on Bible studies of individual books of the Bible with some optional topical studies (12 weeks each). Each year there is one study that is chosen by Awana for all clubs to use if they plan to participate in quizzing. To complete a year of Journey curriculum, students must complete the Faith Foundation (a small booklet containing a few verses), 2 studies and read one-quarter of the Bible (books are specified). If a student completes all 10 years of material from Grade 3-12, the Citation Award is awarded. This is the highest level of achievement and considered a great honor.
