About the Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and, therefore, the final authority in all matters of Christian faith and conduct.

About Salvation

We believe that the only way of salvation and eternal life is through the personal acceptance of the atoning work, death, and resurrection of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Community - because we are a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, disciple-making community that loves God completely through the teaching, preaching and sharing of resources to glorify God and serves God's people.

Church - because we have been brought together by God's Spririt, committing ourselves to service in the community where Christ has placed us.

What We Believe

GOD - The Scriptures join with God’s revelation of Himself in His Messiah and in His Creation, to show us the goodness and glory of the Eternal Godhead—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Creator and Sustainer of all things visible and invisible, as revealed in the Scriptures; the everywhere present, almighty, all knowing—all loving One, whose benevolent laws have framed humankind’s promise and potential, and whose redeeming grace alone provides for humankind’s salvation and restoration. (cf. John 1:314:16212616:12-1520:30-31Rom. 1:20Col. 1:16-171 Tim. 1:172:3-6Titus 2:11Heb. 1:1-31 John 4:15-16Rev. 1:8)

JESUS  - Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah, the Son of God; He was eternally preexistent with the Father and the Holy Spirit, the Holy Trinity; He became incarnate as the virgin born Savior of the world; that by His sinless life, atoning death on the Cross and through His bodily resurrection He completed God’s sole plan for the redemption of fallen humanity; Jesus is the King of Glory, who is now ascended to the right hand of God as His Majesty on high, where He ever lives to make intercession for us, and from where He will yet return to earth again to reign in righteousness. (cf. Luke 1:34-35John 1:1-210:36-38Acts 1:9-112:33-361 Cor. 15:3-52 Cor. 5:21Heb. 7:24-269:26)

HOLY SPIRIT - The fullness of the Holy Spirit is the fountainhead of the Church’s capacity for witness and ministry; that as the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Jesus Himself directs each of His own to receive His power from on high, that each being filled today in the same way as the earliest believers we may work the same works today, in Jesus’ Name; that the gifts, fruit, and power of the Spirit are essential for the Gospel of the Kingdom to be preached to all the world for a witness, and then the end shall come. (cf. Matt. 3:1124:14Luke 3:1624:48-49John 14:1220:21-23Acts 1:4-82:1-4Rom. 12:5-81 Cor. 12:4-11Gal 5:22-23Heb. 13:8)

GOD’S WORD - These truths are revealed in the Holy Bible, which is the Holy Spirit inspired and infallible Word of God contained in the books of the Old and New Testament, inerrant as given in their original form; that the Word is the conclusive and final authority provided to humankind, revealing the ultimate Way, the Truth, and the Life – Who alone can satisfy our need and hunger. (cf. Matt. 5:8John 5:3914:62 Tim. 3:16-172 Pet. 3:16-18)

THE GOSPEL - The gospel is the full message of his salvation and restoration; announcing that forgiveness of sin, restoration unto the Father’s will and the promise of eternal life are available through repentance and faith in Jesus, the Savior; that this faith brings new birth into the Kingdom of God whereby the Creator’s loving purpose for each individual may be realized by the power of the Holy Spirit. (cf. John 3:3-7Acts 16:3126:17-20Rom. 1:1610:8-1013Titus 3:4-7Heb. 6:1-2)

THE CHURCH - The Church is constituted of all those who have believed and received the Gospel; that the global Church’s essential unity is to be rooted in our mutual acknowledgement of the Saviorhood and Lordship of Jesus, the Messiah; that each community and ethnicity within the global Church should receive the respect and acceptance of the other, allowing one another the liberty of doctrinal distinctive, cultural uniqueness or ministry emphasis in practice and in the spirit of love and brotherhood. (cf. John 13:34-3515:12-13Acts 2:36Rom. 15:7; I Cor. 12:3Gal. 3:26-29Eph. 2:19-224:1-6I Thess. 4:9-121 John 4:7-21)

THE COMMISSION - The whole Church is commissioned by Her Lord to take the whole Gospel to the whole world, declaring the message that all may be reconciled to God in Jesus’ Name; that even as Jesus, the Son, was sent as our Redeemer from heaven, the Holy Spirit has been sent to enable the living Church to spread this good news, to minister the love of God in every way consistent with His will and truth. (cf. Matt. 5:13-1624:1428:18-20Mark 16:15John 16:7-15Acts 1:82 Cor. 5:18-21)

THE MARRIAGE COVENANT - The institution of marriage is the foundation of family life as well as the basic structure of human society and was intended by God to be a permanent, lifelong relationship between a man and a woman in covenant relationship as delineated in the Holy Scriptures. Marriage is God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His church and to provide for the man and the woman in marriage the framework for intimate companionship, the channel of sexual expression according to biblical standards, and the means for procreation of the human race.

God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman and that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery and pornography are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible and the church, and is incompatible with a true biblical witness. God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery or appearance.

Accordingly, this church will only recognize, condone or perform marriage ceremonies between individuals of the opposite biological sex. Same-sex marriages, civil unions, common law, significant other, domestic partnerships, etc., are not in keeping with God’s design and plan for marriage and relationships or the church’s beliefs, despite what the laws of the state may establish. (cf. Gen. 1:26-272:2419:1-826:8-9Lev 18:1-30Lev 20:13Jud 19:16-30Matt 19:5-6Rom 1: 26-29I Cor. 5:16:9-10Eph 5:22-33Col 3:18-211 Thess. 4:1-81 Tim 1:8-11Heb. 13:41 Peter 3:72 Pet 2:6-7Jude 1:7)

THE RETURN OF JESUS -  According to the Scriptures, the end of all things is at hand; that vital believers will always balance their care and service of life’s most practical daily issues with their warm expectation of the imminent return of their Savior from heaven; that at His return He will judge the living and the dead according to the righteousness of God, each one receiving their just reward of either eternal gain or eternal loss. (cf. John 5:28-29Rom. 14:10-122 Tim. 4:1-21 Pet. 4:72 Pet. 3:11-141 John 3:2-3Rev. 20:11-15)

THE ABOVE AFFIRMATIONS OF FAITH ARE FOUNDED ON THE REVELATION OF GOD’S WORD AND ARE REAFFIRMED IN THE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS:

We believe the Bible to be the inspired written word of God, the infallible rule of faith and practice.

We believe that there is one living and true God, creator of heaven and earth, things visible and invisible, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. His sinless life, His vicarious death on the cross for sin, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return and rule of His Kingdom on earth in power and glory.

We believe Salvation to be wholly by grace, through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that all who do so through regeneration by the Holy Spirit experience the new birth and become overcomers through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, which enable all believers to live victorious lives.

We believe in the Holy Ordinances of the Church, Baptism [by immersion] and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe that God requires of us a total stewardship of our personal selves, our time, our talents (gifts), and our treasure such that we may accomplish His holy work commissioned as entrusted stewards of the church.

We believe that He wants to use us in, and outside the sanctuary to transform lives in areas of our labor, leisure and love such as business, government, family, and among friends to render a total message to the total human condition.

We believe that we are privileged to be co-laborer and partners with God in the redeeming of the human race regardless of cultural, ethnic origin or socio-economic status.
